Pam Tellinghuisen, Wahpeton Sioux

 

Pam is a fourth generation artist, who has been working her quarry and carving pipestone for over twenty years, and is currently employed as a cultural demonstrator and a sales clerk for the Pipestone Indian Shrine Association. She learned her art from her mother, Betty Derby- Tellinghuisen.

 

Pam's specialties include traditional pipestone pipes, smudge bowls, letter-openers, and carved turtles.

 

Pam is an enrolled member of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota Nation.
